The newest landmark on the Jerusalem skyline is a towering string bridge on the western entrance to the city. Meant to represent the harp of King David the Bridge of Strings is undeniably a work of art and was designed by the renowned architect Santiago Calatrava. The mast soars 119 meters high and is supported by 66 steel cables making it the tallest structure in Jerusalem. With its stark white color set against the deep blue of the Jerusalem sky, it is a fitting entrance into the world’s most important city.
