The fourth annual Jerusalem Festival of Light has lit up the Old City of Jerusalem. At the Jaffa Gate a lacy dome, 25 meters high, 20 meters wide and fabricated entirely from strings of LEDs, has been erected by Italy’s Luminarie De Cagna. The work, entitled Cupola, was inspired by Italian Renaissance architecture and is a dramatic contrast to the walls of the Old City which serve as a backdrop.
