Kings Canyon is one of Australia’s natural treasures. Located literally in the centre of the outback it is close to nothing, which makes it an attractive site for hikers.

On the map Kings Canyon is located just to the left of the “A” in Australia.

There are two popular canyon hikes at Kings Canyon: The 6 km Kings Canyon Rim Walk and the 2.6 km Kings Creek Walk tracing the bottom of the gorge. The Kings Creek Walk meanders up the centre of the canyon to a lookout point on the left hand side of the valley.

On a hot day the Canyon floor is the place to be with tall trees and plenty of shade. Guess which walk we took !!
